Your gift directly supports 6,500 of our neighbors facing food insecurity. Your gift purchases kosher food staples, traditional holiday items, and essential household supplies to ensure no family in our community goes without.  If your gift is designated for a specific program, the funds will be used to support that program.

Approximately 85 cents of every dollar donated goes directly toward our food purchasing, warehousing, and program delivery operations. Because our monthly distribution relies on thousands of dedicated volunteers, JRA keeps administrative overhead exceptionally low. 

You can direct your donation to specific initiatives—such as Holocaust Survivor assistance, the Period Packs Project, or our Virtual High Holiday Food Drive —by selecting the designated program on our online donation form or noting your preference in the check memo. 

Yes. When making an Honor of Memorial Gift online or by mail, you can provide the name and address of the honoree or family member. JRA will send a personalized card notifying them of your thoughtful gift (without disclosing the gift amount). You can choose whether the card is sent via email or USPS.

Yes! The Jewish Relief Agency is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all financial contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law.

Yes. You can set up a recurring monthly donation on our online donation page. Monthly giving provides a steady, reliable foundation that allows us to pack and deliver food boxes to our neighbors in need year-round. 

Click "Sign In" on the JRA donation page https://secure.qgiv.com/for/jra . Once you're logged in to your account, click My Account, then Recurring Gifts. The Recurring Gifts tab is where you can edit, delete, or pause your recurring gift.

JRA does not collect or distribute clothing, furniture, appliances, durable medical equipment, or other household items.

To ensure all recipients receive consistent, high-quality, shelf-stable, and strictly kosher items, JRA bulk-purchases most food items directly. However, we do accept donations collected through food drives, mitzvah projects, etc. If you or an organization would like to host a food drive, please review our Collections and Drives page or contact us for our list of accepted kosher food items.

Many companies offer matching gift programs that can double or even triple your contribution! You can check your employer’s HR portal or visit Charity Navigator to see if your company matches charitable gifts to JRA.
