what to know before you go

All JRA volunteer activities, including food packing and delivery route pick-ups, take place at the warehouse.

A few things to keep in mind:

• 👟 Closed-toe shoes are required in the warehouse.
• 👕 Dress comfortably. Our warehouse is not temperature-controlled, so check the weather and dress accordingly.
• 💧 Bring water. You may be on your feet and moving throughout your shift.

Before you arrive:

• Make room in your vehicle. Please clean out your vehicle ahead of time so you have plenty of space for your delivery items.
• Know your route. Your delivery route and recipient information will be available through your volunteer profile.
• Plan for same-day delivery. All food should be delivered on the same day you pick up your route.
• Plan ahead. Please make sure you have enough time to complete your deliveries on your scheduled day.

🪪 Driver's License: Beginning with the October 2026 distribution, all volunteer drivers will need to have a copy, photo, or scan of their driver's license on file with JRA. If you haven't uploaded yours to your volunteer profile yet, we'll scan it when you arrive at the warehouse.

Sunday – Tuesday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM each day

We understand that plans can change. If you can no longer volunteer, please cancel through your volunteer profile or email volunteering@jewishrelief.org as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.
